If you are looking for a buoyant photographer with a history of success in capturing special moments on film, or digitally, look no further. Perusing the photo gallery will give you an idea of the quality, creative touch, and exuberance you can expect from Optimistic Realism photography. Photography services include: event photography, artistic, wedding, special occasion and creative portraiture.

Event Photography: This colorful collection of photographs depicts a variety of performance artists who congregated at the Missoula Art Museum for its monthly Artini gathering. These photos were collected during the event and directly following it, with poi dancing, juggling, and music. Optimistic Realism also filmed the show with four separate camera perspectives, sure to preserve the occasion justly on video. View photos from this collection.

Event Photography: At this birthday party, which also happened to be St. Patrick's Day, O.R. snapped 300+ high-resolution digital photos. O.R. treated its client to a sweeping array of outstanding pictures, all suitable for large-scale printing and digital editing. View photos from this collection.

Artistic Photography: Photography is a highly expressive art form, well-suited for creative perspectives. As shown in this series, the effect of a black and white photograph is different from that of color. While color photography more literally reveals life as the human eye sees it, black and white presents certain elements abstractly. Since the audience sees only gray tones in this artistic portrait, the interpretation of colors is left up to the imagination: the contents of the glass, the color of her eyes. 04 Event Photography: Acoustic instruments ranging from mandolins to woodwinds, and vocals to drums, are captured alongside their respective musicians in this collection of photographs from a music party that took place on a spring evening in Missoula, Montana. View photos from this collection.

Event Photography: Weddings and the people who attend them, especially the bride and groom, are phenomenally photogenic. Facial features and skin tones are amazing when contrasted with a white gown or black tuxedo. More importantly, the range of emotions displayed at these occasions are seemingly unparalleled. 06 Location Specific Photography: Every location has its own distinguishing elements that make it unique. This series of European photographs portrays artistically the famous gondola rides of Venice, the ravens that reside on castle walls in London, and the tender twosomes that line the banks of the Seine River in Paris.
